It causes there to be a separation
between God and me
Violating the spirit of God's word
Initiating gossip and following the herd
Omitting the truth from what I say
Leaving unsaid words of encouragement and neglecting to pray
Aggravating situations instead of bringing peace
Trying to be right instead of causing strife to cease
Imagining myself as better than others
Omitting love toward my sisters and brothers
Never will this behavior please the Lord
But when I stop the violation,
there will be a restoration!
Restoring me from this devastation
Exhaling the bad, a healing exhalation
Spirit, heal my wounded heart
Touch and restore the broken part
Omnipotent, intimate God, not a God on the shelf
Rescue me from my sabotaging self
Attach me to you
To the place that is true
Imitating the Son
Oh glorious One!
Now today I make this determination.
There will no longer be that violation
of God‘s word.
