ADD TO MY FAVORITES
With young ones in her care.
She stays beside them through each day
And leads them everywhere.
She watches o’er her little lambs,
Protecting them from strife.
To guard from danger that surrounds,
She’d gladly give her life.
She seeks the best for every charge
And prays the Father’s guidance.
He shows His mercy endlessly.
He is her strong reliance.
She nudges one who goes astray
Into the right direction.
She knows that she’s responsible
For times they need correction.
When one she cares for does get lost,
She seeks until she finds him.
He never needs to doubt her love—
She constantly reminds him.
Their confidence can rest in her
Till comes the time they’re grown.
Yet, even then, they understand
She counts them as her own.
She understands their frailties
As she sees to their needs.
Good Shepherd showing her the way,
Her leadership succeeds.
