Before they knew it, it was 1 am, and they had to get up in five hours for work. They put their phones down, kissed each other goodnight, and fell asleep.
The following morning, as they got ready, both wore headphones and watched or listened to reels and TikToks. Later, when a friend asked Cheryl what she had watched the night before, for the life of her, she couldn’t name one thing!

“Ask Jenna” was the common refrain at home and work. She was the undisputed Queen of Google searches. Of course, the flip side of that was that she was the Queen of Google searches. The sheer amount of information at her fingertips was overwhelming.
Type in ‘causes of the common cold,’ and Google provides 1,220,000,000 results! How do you navigate the volume of information at your fingertips?
Jenna was always happy to help, but digging deep was not her forte. When faced with so many options, she became overwhelmed. How could she discern misinformation from the truth? Which sites were reliable? Which doctor was correct? Why did this person say A worked when the next person soundly denounced A?

Bryan was a typical Gen Xer who straddled the analog and digital age. Unlike others his age who glommed onto technology and were more addicted to their devices than even their kids, Bryan took a circumspect approach to technology. He used it for work and even had all the latest gadgets at home.
He tried to be careful what he watched and listened to. However, after a particularly rough patch at work, where the software he was developing was really buggy, and he spent hours poring over code, he got sucked into the world of Original Series – Amazon, Netflix, BritBox, and so on. He found comfort in the mindlessness of the shows and could forget his coding woes for hours at a time.

Mariah, from the time she was little, had loved everything tech. She always had the latest devices and invested her time and money in ensuring she had the best. But it went further than that. She taught others how to leverage the ever-changing landscape of technology into careers, money, and longevity.
She spoke at schools and universities, encouraging young men and women to use technology rather than allowing technology to use and manipulate them. Through her Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) talks, her keynote speeches at conferences, and her innate ability to connect with people, she impacted the software industry, increasing the number of talented young people exponentially.
