But mercy is as real as your heartbeat.
You cannot see it,
But you know it’s there.
You cannot touch it,
But you can feel it.
You cannot buy it,
But you can get it free.
You cannot earn it,
But you can receive it, anyway.
You cannot sell it,
But you can give it to others.
You can be at the mercy of nature
Or of strangers
Or of those you count dearest
Or even of the court.
Were it not for the mercy of God,
You would have no hope in life or death.
His mercy is not given from obligation,
But it comes from His great love.
His mercy is not happenstance,
But it is intentional.
His mercy is not limited,
But endless in supply.
His mercy is yours to have and to keep.
You have only to accept it.
