Lost in hazy meanings of love’s real definition
I cannot find my way to the truth of the matter,
to discern the chatter, to fully understand a concept
that refuses to be carved in a stone.

GOD is Love

That’s what I learned by rote so full of precision but
leaving a division I cannot reconcile as I try to grasp a
cloud or knock a shadow to the ground or ride an
unforgiving wave across an ocean fraught with mystery.

God IS love

But how does that translate to my senses, take down
old fences, wash away the mud of confusion when
it does not manifest in ways I understand that give
security, maturity, and every name for faith or charity?

God is LOVE!

But please! What does that MEAN? Those are merely
words and platitudes to hearts that cannot comprehend
what language you are speaking, what reference I am
seeking or how to get a forever kind of peace of mind.

Okay…try this. LOVE is GOD

We cannot trap sunshine in a bottle or grasp fragrance in
the breeze or catch a lightning bolt or star shooting
through an inky sky, but this four-letter WORD, too big to
appreciate, is free and straight from the Father’s Hand.

Understand now?

Yes. If He is in my heart, that WORD clarifies everything.
As a sad wanderer through poetic confusion, I tried
to make it difficult and ethereal, but the TRUTH is simple
yet profound—unfettered, unchained, unbound.

*Love, straight from God, our Creator, truly is patient and kind, not jealous, boastful, proud, or rude.
It does not demand its way, is not irritable, and keeps no record of being wronged.

It does not celebrate injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

So easy. God is Love. Love is God. Period.
