Where Light I could not see.
Once found, the Light became a shield,
Protection over me.
Beside a shield defending me,
The Light became my refuge.
His mercy over me He poured
Till it became a deluge.
I’m witness to His awesome power,
This Light that saved my soul.
He drew me from the path of sin
And made my spirit whole.
That He’s the Light of all the world,
The Scripture does proclaim,
For those who will believe on Him,
And Jesus is His name.
His Word has proven to be true.
The Light cannot burn out.
Trustworthy are His promises.
There is no room for doubt.
Because He watches over me,
Then I am held secure.
With His own Word, He’s guiding me,
My way to heaven, sure.
His Spirit dwells within my heart,
This Light that’s from above.
I’m called to be a light myself,
And shine forth with His love.
Proverbs 30:5 and John 9:5
