Birds singing cheerily in the morning
An awesome sunrise with its reminder of the Creator’s power
Snowflakes sifting slowly to soft land on my windowsill
The serenade of ocean waves to the shore
A walk through a garden of beautiful blooms and scents
Inspiring music and sermons of spiritual enrichment at church
Verses of hope and comfort from the Bible when my heart is troubled
The holiness of God’s presence from His Spirit within me
The words and melodies of hymns, familiar from my childhood
Soothing music from a piano or orchestra
The crackle and glow from the fireplace in the dark of night
Sharing conversation and encouragement with a dear friend
A cherished baby cuddled close to me
My husband’s arms around me as we go to sleep
A call from our traveling children to say, “We’re home”
The bittersweet going-to-heaven of a loved one who’s near death
The knowledge, deep in my heart, that I am loved by God and family
