Topic: BEACH (09/01/22)
Created God both land and sea,
And though the waves approach,
The line that God set in the sand,
They never can encroach.

The poet spoke of boundless seas,
To him a mystery.
He didn’t realize that God
Had made a boundary.

The golden sands are beauteous
As brilliant views unfold.
They frame the ocean’s majesty,
God’s wonders to behold.

The ocean stretches to the sky
As far as eye can see.
From what we view while on the beach,
It’s to infinity.

The footprints we make in the sand
That prove we once were here,
Will, as the waters wash on land,
Forever disappear.

Though they become invisible,
The Lord sees every one,
And knows each footstep we will take
Till life on earth is done.

God’s thoughts of us are greater than
The countless grains of sand.
How He could love us all so much,
We’ll never understand.

As I was reading your lovely poem, I could hear the comforting sound of ocean waves outside my open window. Then my CD started playing, "Total Praise", by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. It was such a spiritual moment that I drank it in slowly so it filled all my senses. Looking out at the sand, I'm reminded, through your poem of the majesty and greatness of God that He would remember every step we took in the sand. That's how precious we are to Him. What a lovely entry this poem is.
