Peculiar thinking does it bring.
Take, for example, words like ‘pain,’
They say without which, there’s no gain.
If your ‘pain in the neck’ will leave,
She’ll leave you with no cause to grieve.
When ‘feeling no pain,’ it is clear,
You need to stay away from beer.
If ‘world of pain’s’ a ‘vale of tears,’
I hope your bout of crying clears.
If someone ‘twists a knife’ in you,
The worst is if it’s through and through,
But then if you’re ‘cut to the quick,’
It’s best if blood won’t make you sick.
If you are bothered by ‘cold feet,’
The cure can’t be to raise the heat.
If you ‘break out in a cold sweat,’
You haven’t gotten too warm yet.
If you are where your ‘hackles rise,’
“Get out of there,” would I advise.
When you are feeling ‘ill at ease,’
Take medication, if you please.
If ‘faint heart’ bothers you at all,
You do not need a hospital.
If ‘growing pains’ is issue, too,
Then I can’t tell you what to do.
