And it seems I never win
Failures haunt me from my past
How long would this feeling last
That I am worthless
With no future
I need a suture
To bind my broken life together
Others somehow weather
Such challenges and woes
But with my history
It’s a mystery
How my future could ever be bright
It just doesn’t seem right!
My future’s dim
I just can’t win
And I give up again
But then
His mercy
His grace
put my pieces into place
I rest in His arms and eschew the alarms
that plague our world today
His story
bring such glory
It shines a light
makes my future bright
Brings day from night
His story rings through His word
It’s so absurd
To think this is all random chance
Our hearts dance
To His song
To Him we belong
His story runs through the Bible’s pages
as it stands for all the ages
telling of God’s love
and strength from above
It’s like hand into glove
I forget how He’s helped me
Again and again
I worry and fret
And again I get
My emotions into a knot.
Sometimes I get myself again in a scrape
But then I escape
By the means of God’s mercy and grace
God does it again
Gives me a big win
And puts a big joyful grin
On my face
His story is so great
His story is so strong
He’s been there all along
If I look at my history
It’s really His story
Blazing across my life
Bringing peace in such strife
His story
Has such glory
My name is Agatha Again
Thanks to Him, I always win
Set free from all my past
I know this feeling will always last
When I remember
His story
His glory

And I love the changing poetic cadence; like a puzzle, the lines all fit. Yet . . . isn't that the way His Story works in our lives? We think our circumstances are random, but out of them comes a beautifully finished huan.
