of the wrongs
I have committed
over the years and every day
Who will fit the bill
Is there someone
who cares enough
to pay the ransom
to set me free
from the burden of my sins
To be my redeemer
He must be fully human
to understand my predicament
and must be fully God
to satisfy His righteous demand
Come Living Redeemer
the incarnate Son who once died
on the cross but lives again
after three days
You have not left me like an orphan
You have given me
the Comforter
the Counsellor
the Guide
who is the Holy Spirit
Doesn’t the Word
promise that the Lord’s redeemed
shall return with gladness
and enter the city of peace
singing with everlasting joy
Gladness and joy
will overtake them
sorrow and sighing will flee
What an awesome experience
that I long to have
With Job of old together
I confidently declare
My Redeemer lives
so I can face every fresh new day
even what it will bring I may not know
