Though God redeems
It always seems
That we think we know best
We need to do what
He calls us to do
Then let Him handle the rest
Redeemed
And we lean
Into the arms of Christ
We think we are worthless
We didn’t pass the test
of our judgmental hearts
But Jesus parts
the Red Sea of our unforgiveable past
Redeemed
The past has passed
And is no more
Our future with Him is bright
The darkness is gone
We walk in the light
He has redeemed us
Paid the price
Our hearts were cold
As if in ice
Now warm from the love
Found only from above
Redeemed
Even when it seemed
Our hope was gone
Then came the dawn
Of a future wiped clean
Redeemed
Thought of heaven with Him
brings a big grin
to my face
I await His embrace
An eternity of grace
Redeemed
Can I say it too many times?
Can I say too many rhymes?
My words may fail me
But He never will
Redeemed
The past has passed
And no longer holds me
But His love unfolds me
Like a butterfly from its cocoon
Redeemed
He paid the price
I could not pay
To describe all it means
I cannot say
Redeemed
The glorious future is now
His grace packs such a wow
I’m grateful for His grace
Any sins He will erase
For as we know
Our past has passed
Redeemed
Can I say that word too much?
No! I long so for His touch
to continue in my life
Peace in the midst of strife
Redeemed
The past has passed
And true troubles are few
When I keep Him in view
Redeemed
Any regrets need not last
For the past has passed
Our new life begins
For all our sins
have been
Redeemed
