No more hatred
Among families and neighbors
Or cities, states, and nations,
No more abuse of anyone defenseless,
No more angry words,
No more violent acts of man or nature,
No more war . . .
But not yet.
There will be peace without suffering—
No more pain,
No more disease,
No more infirmity,
No more poverty,
No more hunger,
No more thirst,
No more loneliness,
No more grief
For a lost loved one,
No more sorrow of any kind . . .
But not yet.
There will be peace without Satan—
No more temptation to do evil,
No more pride, jealousy, or anger,
No more sin, great or small,
In thought or word or deed . . .
But not yet.
Yet, when we get to heaven, there will be--
No more conflict,
No more suffering,
No more Satan,
And there will be no more darkness,
For Jesus is the light.
There we will dwell with God . . .
In peace forevermore.
