Of blooms that burst in color,
So folks with seeds of Jesus’ love
Show kindness to each other.
Found seeded in the covenant
Of marriage at an altar,
Are promises of faithfulness
And love to last forever.
A seed of anger in the heart
Holds bitter promises
With unkind words and broken hearts
And nights of sleeplessness.
A seed of talent God has sowed
Has promise it might be
A much-admired masterpiece
Of creativity.
Faith, like a mustard seed, is small
But still can move a mountain.
The promise found in Holy Word
Declares with God’s help, man can.
The seed God placed in Mary’s womb
Was promises fulfilled.
Messiah, born into the world,
Was just as God had willed.
When those in peace sow seeds of peace,
The fruit is righteousness.
As promised by the Lord Himself,
His people will He bless.
