Would hide my deep distress.
Yet God knew all the pain within
That I did not express.
I thought that I could cover up
The wrongs that I’d commit
With my good deeds for other folks,
But God took note of it.
An insincere façade, I kept,
Religiosity,
For matters of things spiritual.
Yet God saw the true me.
There was no disguise I could use
That God could not see through.
When I confessed to Him my sins,
My life, He made anew.
The hole I had within my heart
Was just as He had willed it.
When I confessed my sins in prayer,
Then with His love, He filled it.
I need no pretense anymore.
How different, my story!
God made my sadness gladness when
He touched me with His glory.
God sees all, knows all, understands
The hearts of all mankind.
I love to show my happiness
For change He made in mine.
