Scent of love but never hate
The range of choices fills the senses
As we embrace the job and take down fences
Blue
Eyes, lagoon, flashing lights, and cheese
Sad, plate special, Navy, and the line if you please
Green
Money, envy, Berets, putting, beans
Broccoli, pastures, trees, and Mister Jeans
Red
Firetrucks, blood, ants, stop, and hair
Sunsets, peppers, blush, Sea, and Square
Yellow
Baby ducks, school buses, and Sunshine
Butter, Jonquils, Daisies, cowards, and goldmines
The world spins on the color wheel
God’s gift so we can speak and paint and write
People, feelings, things, instructions
Not all black and not all white
But blends and hues and tones we find
In boxes filled with all things possible to be
The books of life in which we color
Inside the lines, or out, depends on what pure hearts can see.
Take the challenge, begin anew
Select fresh crayons and turn the page
Create, smile, but my advice is short and sweet
and encompassed in one word for you
Simply, DO!
