Inflexible and strong.
Help all my choices to be good
And let me do no wrong.
Oh Lord, may I be like a rock
With faith that doesn’t bend,
Not leaning to the right or left,
But steady to the end.
Oh Lord, may I be like a rock,
With character that’s true,
Not yielding to temptations’ call
As I rely on You.
Oh Lord, may I be like a rock,
Not swayed by storms that rage,
But trusting always in Your love
That lives from age to age.
Oh Lord, may I be like a rock
Amid the storms of life,
Held firmly, never wavering,
Through any passing strife.
Oh Lord, may I be like a rock
That’s never bendable,
But constant in my Christian life,
There found dependable.
Oh Lord, may I be like a rock
Within life’s turning pages
As I place all my trust in You,
Eternal Rock of Ages.
