Went seeking a new base,
The lovely southern beaches seemed
To him the perfect place.
With Mrs.Claus and all the elves,
He traveled to the shore,
And folding up his Santa suit,
He stuck it in a drawer.
He spent long hours in the sun
From early until late,
And walking daily on the strand,
He lost a lot of weight.
The elves played all day in the sand
And made a lot of noise,
But sadly, as the weeks went by,
Not one of them made toys.
The reindeer Santa brought with him
Found climate wasn’t right,
And move for them from north to south
Had left them in a plight.
Then one day Mrs.Claus took charge,
Put things in her control,
And made the preparations for
Return to the North Pole.
She fattened up her husband first,
Then grabbed the elves from play.
Collecting all the reindeer, she
Attached them to the sleigh.
Once home, the elves worked twice as hard
While Santa kept them steady,
And just in time for Christmas Eve,
They had the presents ready.
And as they flew above the beach,
Said Santa with a sigh,
“I need to stay where I belong,”
And waved as he went by.
