Began his catastrophic journey mid ocean,
Where he swirled the waters into savage whirlwinds.
Edging toward land, he began
Stomping across the waves,
Sending them to unpracticed heights.
Then he rampaged through the countryside,
Bringing an overload of destruction and death
To nature and structures and humankind
That lay within his horrifying, preconceived path.
All things bowed before the reaper of the wind
That screamed ferociously and howled eerily
While wrapping trees and cars, even buildings,
In his mighty fists and flinging them aside.
After raiding heaven’s hanging clouds,
The giant beast rained torrents of the sky’s tears
Into the indefensible places he pushed through,
Leaving in his wake, hazardous flooding
To create danger and disaster for hapless victims.
Having satisfied his enormous appetite for devastation,
The weary creature hobbled back out to sea
Without a care for the immense burden he’d left behind
With his perpetration of monstrous deeds.
