God of grace and glory,
Created the universe and all that is within,
Then stooped to scoop up dust
And made man in His image.
He decorates His world with matchless beauty,
Covering mountaintops with caps of white,
Carpeting earth’s floor with a vastness of green
To complement gold of deserts and beaches
And blue of many waters.
He paints a different sunrise every morning
And dazzling sunsets when night falls.
They march majestically across infinity of sky—
All this, He does, while rocking oceans in their cradles.
Almighty God, one and only, omnipotent and holy,
God of grace and glory,
Holds the world in His powerful hands.
He sees all, hears all, knows all,
And oversees every corner of the cosmos.
He weeps at the scarring of sin on His creation,
Sorrows from disobedience to His law
And the refusal of many to accept His Son, Messiah,
Who provided for any who would accept in faith,
Salvation with promise of eternity in heaven.
He listens to the prayers of His children
And rejoices with their triumphs.
How can it be?
Almighty God, one and only, omnipotent and holy,
God of grace and glory,
Loves me.
