The third year of Jehoiakim
Nebuchadnezzar besieges
Jerusalem.
Carrying away king and treasure
vessels of God for His service
now in Shinar.
Young men, noble and without fault,
wise beyond years, good looking and
intelligent.
Manhood was erased but lives saved.
MERCY
Drops of Heaven in hell.
DECISION
Four young men align together
Shadrach, Meshach, Abed-nego,
and Belshazzar.
Unwilling to betray their God,
they ask to eat but vegetables
as their food.
Worried they will be pale and weak,
and his own head will be the price,
the official pleads.
Favour given for ten days trial
MERCY
Drops of Heaven in hell.
DREAM
A dream disturbs the sleeping king.
He demands wisemen interpret
an untold dream.
“No man on earth could do this thing!
No magician, no Chaldean
can tell the dream.”
Nebuchadnezzar will slay all
the wisemen in the whole kingdom.
Daniel goes in.
The king grants him time to tell the dream.
MERCY
Drops of Heaven in Hell.
DELIVERANCE
Daniel’s divine explanation
saves the wisemen of the nation
promoting him.
His friends also get promoted
to the province of Babylon.
Favour given.
Then the king creates an image
all must bow to daily worship.
The young men won’t.
Thrown to fire but divinely protected.
MERCY

DECLARE
Help me Lord, in confusing times to see Your
MERCY
Drops of Heaven in hell.
