when my understanding unfolds
as God’s ways are revealed.
Drink in cool, refreshing hope,
taste the sweetness of divine joy,
embrace this mountaintop moment.
On this magnificent peak,
I experience God’s presence,
celebrate his miraculous work in me.
Inhale summit’s peace,
enjoy a clear and pristine view,
embrace this mountaintop moment.
This spectacular high point,
where I see God’s character
and put my faith in his lead.
Fasten this breathtaking occasion to my memory,
so I may later recall and revel in
this mountaintop moment.
This majestic atmosphere,
where I raise my hands in adoration
to the Holy One who envelops me with his love.
I long to hold this inspiring encounter in my heart,
to draw upon whenever I may need
this mountaintop moment.
This splendid elevation,
where my heart is overflowing,
and I’m resting in the One who knows my name.
Even in the valley seasons,
may I remember and relive
this mountaintop moment.
