Oh my. It took extreme courage to tell this heartbreaking story. I would love to read the sequel to this. God can work miracles.

What a heartbreaking story. I don't believe that forgiving and forgetting are synonymous.

In the holocaust, many survivors forgave their captors, but they did't forget the atrocities done to them. Hopefully, remembering the history makes it less likely to happen again.

This is an incredibly heartbreaking story! I hate that it really happened. I too am wondering how things turned out after that knock.
Very well written.

I can't believe your own brother could be so cruel. It sounds like you suffered some post-traumatic symptoms after his physical and mental torments.

I am sorry that I misread the ending of the story and understand that you were not equating forgiving and forgetting.
