I surrender my joy
Because it is only in You that I can find true joy.
I surrender my life
Because my life is in Your hands anyway.
I surrender my will
Because Your will is better than mine.
I surrender my thoughts
Because Your thoughts are higher than mine.
I surrender my time
Because You are outside of time and You control time.
I surrender my talents
Because they should be used for Your glory
I surrender my family
Because You love them more than I do.
Oh Lord, how I wish I could say all of this without trepidation.
But I am weak.
I am scared.
I know You know what is best and I want to surrender all.
But I falter.
I worry.
Your ways are best
But I want to trust myself before I trust You.
Everything I have is Yours, Lord.
Yet I cling so tightly.
Give me the faith, Lord.
Give me the strength, Lord,
To give everything to You.
Because I'm not perfect.
You sacrificed Your life
And you did it for me.
But can I truly give You mine?
Lord, I long for the day I can surrender all of me and not doubt.
But I'm not there. I'm scared.
Will You forgive me?
