“Oh Mountain” in Colorado aptly named, you’ll find it true.
I breathe in this world’s beauty--His goodness for our sakes
Million dollar moments, what will their difference make.
This side of heaven, of His miracles be aware
Trust that He knows our heart and hears our ev’ry prayer.
The Fall may have taken perfection from our midst
But remnants of its wonders everywhere today exist.
He knew we’d need the peacefulness of oceans fast asleep
New strength to face our storms when fears inside us creep.
And so He rose the mountains far above the licking shores
To grant a glimpse of heaven--oh, imagine what’s in store.
Moonlight dances on a lake, Superior is its name
Meadows unfurl their flow’ry heads that give them worldly fame.
In the land of giants, Redwoods tickle fluffy clouds
While in a ripened field golden corn humbly bows.
Feathery duets commence with dawns peeking rays
Cows moo and roosters crow--His choir daily plays.
But when the seasons turn, mornings then are more hushed
It’s time now to be resting instead of being rushed.
People have uniqueness that only God could form
Something burns inside our souls--a gift--a Spirit born.
Sometimes it comes in whispers like the softness on a breeze
But when it comes in thunders, listen up--listen please.
A time will come for each to pass forever from this life
Knowing where you’re going eliminates human strife.
While on this side of Paradise be careful how you choose
The elevator going up has the million dollar views.

One line in particular really caught my attention.
'The uniqueness of each individual that only God could form.' I can't quote the line exactly but the essence of the message remains.
The rhyme scheme is strong and the rhythm of the piece ebbs and flows with grace.
A very enjoyable read.
