You described very well the intense pain of losing such a loved friend.
Your last line speaks voles about anything we grieve for be it a pet a person, the past, or even a job or broken marriage. How better to remember and feel pain than to feel nothing at all.

That is soooo sad. I have tears running as I type.

I witnessed by friend's little dog have a seizure. It's awful.

I really want to believe that our pets will be in Heaven.

Well written story.

I kept reading, feeling for your MC, and thinking of the times I try to sneak out the door without our Molly, just not to be tugged along to stop at every mailbox and tree. Now I'll remember to treasure our walks more. Well done.

Oh, how sad! Is this story completely true? I'm so sorry about your dog, but it's great that you could write such a touching story, reliving the experience. I love how you put in the song from Casting Crowns (that has always been one of my favorites from them) and the reassurances from the Lord. Well-told ... I felt like I was there with you.
