The Mosaic Law was written on papyrus paper and was created by God to bring order to the Jewish people. 613 commandments were given to Moses, as seen in the Old Testament. They set Israel apart as a holy nation and governed all aspects of their lives.
God said, “ I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts" {Jeremiah 31:33}.
The Mosaic laws reflected the High and Holy standards of Creator God, showed up the sinful, fallen nature of humans that needed amending, and the consequences of evil. They were created as a deterrent to the sinful lifestyle; however, “.... whosoever shall keep the whole law and yet offend on one point, he is guilty of all” {James 2:10}. God's law acted as a single, unified standard.

Then along came Grace.
“Grace is defined as God giving free forgiveness, love, and eternal life to people who cannot earn or deserve it”
Significantly different in every way. No animal sacrifices were involved, and the Holy Temple that was forbidden to all except the Levites, was no longer preeminent.
While the law refers to God's moral and righteous standards as given to Moses, and demanded perfect obedience and exposed human sin; Grace is unearned favor from God. It’s free to us. No animal sacrifice and strict rules of law required; instead, it is The free gift of salvation that was sent down from heaven, through Jesus Christ.
He came as a man. He had a heart of flesh; He healed sick people and mixed with all classes of people. He raised the dead, ate with people, and fed the hungry. His sin offering was himself. He taught us about forgiveness and the power to live a holy life apart from human effort, with the help of The Holy Spirit. Grace is a free gift to people of all races.

The Holy Temple of the Old Testament was no longer needed. Instead, as Paul wrote, "Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?" {1 Cor 3:16}. Jesus had a ‘heart of flesh’ that was and is visible to all. He changed the world. When we look at Him, we see God in human form, the Only Begotten Son of God. The Old Testament prophesied about him, and the New Testament revealed him. His law was about Love. “Love God. Love your neighbor”. It’s how God wants us to live in His world.
The 613 Law commandments of Moses were powerfully reduced in volume to the 2 Love commandments.

Jehovah’s law of love is not about killing others or suicidal beliefs that foster martyrdom, and worshipping false gods, thus creating chaos and spreading hate.

Instead, as a Grace gift, He so loved the world that ‘He gave His Only Son’ who had a heart for flesh. (John 3:16}. Followers of Christ need hearts and minds that are guided by the Holy Spirit, obedient to God’s Word, submitted to Christ, able to love deeply, repentant, teachable, and live lives that serve others.

Ezekiel 36:26: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
