Amazingly,animals craft and create too. Birds craft intricately woven nests made of twigs in which they safely house their eggs and babies on tree branches high above the earth. Human architects plan, design, or construct homes, also human mechanics build and repair airplanes that fly fast and high; some build or maintain and repair buses and cars, and seamstresses craft dresses, costumes, cushions and curtains for our homes. Composers craft music that span genres from the classical, modern to spiritual. Worship music is sacred and glorifying to God, and birthed in believers’ hearts.
However, there is another type of crafting.
Its definition is,.. ‘an evil skill used in deceiving others’. Adam and Eve were manipulated by the evil one. He deceived them into eating the fruit forbidden by God, with the result that the whole of creation has been cursed. The evil seed sown into humans has had quite a tremendous harvest. Daily, we hear of people, nations, leaders and organisations all over the world that plan and execute evil that they have crafted.
The origin of deceit and evil started in a beautiful small garden, but now it has spread to the whole globe.
Our God is not crafty. Evil and decit are abhorent to Him.
He never does evil to anyone. He is a God of love and truth..
Regarding Jesus, ….Peter wrote that …‘He committed no sin,
and no deceit was found in his mouth’. {1Peter 2:22}
Regarding The Father; David wrote,‘You don’t socialize with Wicked, or invite Evil over as your houseguest. Hot-Air-Boaster collapses in front of you; you shake your head over Mischief-Maker.God destroys Lie-Speaker; Blood-Thirsty and Truth-Bender disgust you’{Psalm 5:4-6 - The Message}.
