"With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation."
That day, it dawned on me that that was a fulfillment of my life. God has satisfied me with a long life and shows me His salvation daily. I am over three scores and ten years old, and His word has become a reality.
As I think about my life, I see God redeemed me from destruction. I see His protection through childhood and the evils He saved me from. I see Him through the struggles as a young Christian through the changing scenes of my youth.
I remember vividly, as a young Christian, I almost lost my way. I got caught up with the attraction of this world, but Mercy said, "No, I will not let you go."
Then, one Sunday, I decided to go to the church I attended at that time youth service. Walking towards the building, I heard voices singing the sweetest song of love and grace. That song was:
'Reach Out to Jesus, For He is Reaching Out to You.'
I was caught in the atmosphere of God's love, and I began to listen to the words as the congregation sang the song. Soon, I was in the service and singing with the young people. I felt like I was in a heavenly place and at home again. I realized that the angels of God brought me safely home, never more to roam.
As I reminisce on the goodness of God, my heart rejoices, and I worship the one who is worthy of all my praise.
I am not worthy of what He has done for me, but He has made me worthy of the price He paid for me at Calvary. And I love Him because He first loved me.
And all my life, He has been faithful to me.
