The Bible tells us in John 3:16 (NKJV), "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
He expressed His love in so many ways when He was on earth. He was expressing God. And the only way the love of God express to humanity is through love. I recall the Woman in the Bible caught in the very act of adultery.
They found her guilty of that very act. She was caught in the act. She had no way out according to the Law of Moses. They dragged her to Jesus, the religious ones, and the self-righteous Pharisees. They stood before Him and said, "What do you say we should do to her?"
They tried to trap Jesus to use it against Him, but Jesus ignored their question, stooped down, and wrote in the dust with his finger. But they demanded Him an answer.
He got up and said, "All right. Who without sin cast the first stone." And He stooped down again and continued to write in the dust. When He looked up, He saw the Woman alone, trembling in fear before Him.
He said to her, "Woman, where are your accusers. Didn't even one condemn you?"
She answered, "No Lord."
"Neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more."
Jesus displayed the power of love and forgiveness to that Woman on that day.
Living He loved us.
Dying, He saved us from the guilt and shame of our sins.
Buried, He carried our sins far away. Our sins are in the sea of forgetfulness. God cannot remember them.
Rising He justified freely forever. He conquered death and the grave for us; because He lives, we shall live also. Whom the Son set free is free indeed.
One day, He is coming. Oh, glorious day!
On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of his resurrection share.
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the sky,
And the role is called up yonder; we'll be there.
Such Love! Such matchless love! That the Father has for us.
