To me, the good Samaritan displayed that commandment when he had compassion on the man whom the robbers attacked and left half dead on the road.
The good Samaritan moved with compassion, stopped, attended to the man's wounds, brought him to an inn, and cared for him. Those who passed before him knew the commandments of God, the priest, and the Levite, but they passed the other side. They saw the man lying there stripped, wounded, and bloody, and they, who were representatives of the law of God, left him to die. I don't know if they were scared to help, afraid that they too would be attacked by the robbers, or they just didn't care. The road from Jerusalem to Jericho was dangerous, especially for a single traveler. But God knew what was in their hearts.
Recently, I read about Saint Martin. And he, too, displayed the love of God as the good Samaritan.
One bitterly cold day, Martin was riding with a group of soldiers. Everyone was shivering, and the horses were tired, and they made them keep going because the bobbing up and down kept them warmer. Suddenly, Martin saw a poor beggar lying in the cold, shivering. Others passed by but did nothing to help him. Like the good Samaritan, Martin, moved by compassion, took off his coat, cut it in half with his sword, and wrapped the beggar and himself with the other half. The other soldiers stood and watched in amazement.
That night, Martin had a dream. Jesus Christ appeared in a vision wrapped in that same coat cut in half. And as if Jesus looked at him with joy and said, "as much as you have done it to the least of them, you have done it to me." When Martin awoke, he saw his coat in his room. It was a miracle. He couldn't believe what he saw. He sought the Lord and became a Christian, a soldier in God's army.
The Bible tells us to do to others as we would have them do to us. "And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise." Luke 6:31 (NKJV).
The Good Samaritan and Saint Martin were examples of that scripture. So are we to be when God allows us to display His love to others.

I think you might consider changing your story to just include the story about Martin and leave out the commentary about the Good Samaritan in the beginning.
The story about Martin and how he helped that homeless person with a coat was very intriguing.
Keep on writing these heartwarming stories.
