My mind went into overload. Who was this stranger who seemed to know me well enough to call me by my full name; now that was downright odd. Everyone called me Della. Where could I have met her? A hundred scenarios ran through my mind as to who she might be. Nothing!
Now she was throwing kisses as she neared me. I was frantic. Pretending I knew who she was, I threw kisses back. Maybe it was a relative I haven’t seen in years or a friend of the family. Whomever it was must have changed drastically, as I sure didn’t recognize her at all.
Here she was coming straight for me with outstretched arms. I stretched my arms to greet her. Without giving me a second look, she sailed right on by. I could hear squeals of delight behind me as she repeated my name over and over to someone else.
I felt like a complete fool, but you must admit, there are very few people named Ashpedellacrella and in the same place at the same time, what are the chances?
