My heart is uplifted and my eyes focus forward with joy
This is the dream place of my childhood.
Now its a place tourists flock to enjoy
Escapism is what I am calling this day out.
Here for a moment or two, I leave the cares and storms of life behind
Stepping into its warm deep blue welcoming waves
Water walking to waist level then I lay back to float.
All is peace and quiet here on Grand Anse Beach
I've left the noises of traffic and buzz of electronics behind
Now I'm floating on its buoyant bed of waves.
My mind reflects on Christ, whose love is like an ocean.
Christ is my place of rest and peace
Here, I lay down my life with its ups and downs
The swaying waves of life I place into His control.
I do not sink into the depths of trials because He holds me up.
Hope is the cap I wear on my mind
His Word, like the sand, does not shift or move.
The blue waters of this beautiful tropical beach that I love
Is a picture of my God whose arms carry me.
“Even to your old age and grey hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you”.{Isaiah 45:4}
