‘Unmarried and immoral’ was how everyone knew her. She lived with a man and had had five others before him. Discarded was how she saw herself. It was made worse by the fact that she was of mixed race. She was a Samaritan.
As the sun grew hotter, she picked up her jug and stepped outside.
She needed to get her water now. This was the time when everyone was indoors resting, in the shade of their happy homes. Her trip was a lonely one. Friendless; she had no one to talk to, unlike the other women who went together, laughing and joking as they went.
Finally, she got to the well only to see a Jewish man sitting beside the well.
For seconds she hesitated until he spoke to her.
“So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the field ethat Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob's well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour. A woman from Samaria came to draw water…”[John 4:5-6]
Overwhelmed by the fact that he would not only talk to her but ask her for a drink. {John 4:7}.
She is perplexed. This is certainly different, she thought.
“Jews have no dealings with Samaritans,” she said to him {John 4:9}.
She is bold enough to argue with Him, after all, he had no draw water with and
But He is here with a purpose. The purpose is to give her Living water.
She was his purpose that day. Her life would never be the same.
Today’s trip to the well would be written in eternity.
As time and talk continue, she realises that this Man was unique.
“Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet.” {John 4:19}
was her initial response.
He spoke of deep prophetic truths to her and He knew all about her past...
“I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things. Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.” [ John 4:25-26].
Totally amazed, she left her waterpot and hastily went into the city. She was no longer ashamed. She told everyone about Him. “Could this be The Christ? ”, she enquired of them all.
Unknowingly, she had started a revolution. The Samaritan men took the trip too.
They went to meet with Jesus. The result was amazing!
“Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words many more became believers. They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.” {John 4:39-41}.
On that day, trips made to a water well changed the lives of many. Now they were drinking Living Water and were never thirsty again.

It look forward to hearing her tell the story again when we are in heaven.
There were a few glitches in the paragraphs- but the Word never fails. ðŸ‘

That was my impression of your entry anyway.😀
I would have enjoyed your entry even more had you spaced things a little differently.
For instance- your first sentence.
It set the scene and I thought it deserved a line on its own.
It was the hook that kept me reading.
A few typos but I can’t talk above a whisper on that subject as my type setting, despite every effort and always using the preview option, often turns out disjointed. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I think it does count during the judging though🤷♀ï¸. Fun isn't it?ðŸ‘
