"Honor your parents!" she yelled at me.
'Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you,..'
"But I do" I cried. "They don't respect me.." I screeched in pain.
Daily spanking, chores and overwork are my lot in life.
How do I deal with that?
I obey and I submit, but nothing works.
All of the neighbours spank; it's the old fashioned way of training.
It's the way to keep you off the streets. No delinquency and no disobedience are allowed.
Even the teachers spank and then they tell my father when he picks me up.

Obey the law. Curtsey to the Queen. Bow to the president.
'Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the emperor' wrote Peter.
Don't answer back. Comply! Comply!
It's like the army all over again.
Yes Major, yes Major, yes! yes! yes!
Dishonourable discharge is your lot if you don't!
So I bow and curtsey. I obey the rules and honour.
But when I'm at home, I'm the boss.
My children, the maid and my wife respect me or else.

According to Pastor and The Word, I need to love my neighbour.
One way to do so is to serve others and not think so highly of myself.
Pride goes before a fall! I have to think about this…
'If anyone serves me, the Father will honour him,' said Jesus.
So today, I repent for my pride and anger towards others.
My beautiful wife and children need a loving man in the home.
As a follower of Christ, the prime directive is ;
"Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first fruits of all your produce.." a wise word from Solomon.
I choose to give of myself and of what I have earned to the Lord.

I am not perfect. God is!
'As for God, his way is perfect' wrote David.
I believe and hold on to Him, to His gift of grace and mercy.
My resolution with Holy Spirit's help is to follow Christ,
Be a loving neighbour, a strong, kind husband and father.
I am grateful for role models who obeyed and served God,
like Moses, David, Samuel, Elijah, John and Paul,
Mary, Abigail, Ruth, Elizabeth, Esther and Deborah.
Heidi Baker comes to mind as a champion of the faith...

Modern-day missionaries travel to poverty-stricken villages.
They choose to serve, give and love as a gift to God.
What they do, cannot be weighed in gold.
They feed the hungry, clothe the naked and save the lost.
In the West, many have ceased to lift Him up as God.
We please ourselves, kill the unborn and brainwash school children.
Know that The Church, with Christ as its cornerstone, will never fail.
'His children shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years;' what a promise!
