A good feeling,
Like a gentle tickle,
Stealthily brings ecstasy,
To the entire soul.
A good feeling,
Like laughing gas,
Miraculously brings laughter
And joy to a famished heart.
A good feeling,
Like a sweet kiss,
Makes a soldier drop his gun,
Even when it is cocked.
A good feeling, in life,
Like in Economics,
Where Demand and Supply-
Causes equilibrium,
It results into a sweet kiss.
A good feeling,
Like mercury, in thermometers,
Ably defies gravity-laws,
By moving from a tickled toe,
To tickled mental fibres.
A good feeling is good
Because it is always good,
Without anyone compelling-
It to stay good, no matter what.
How awesome good-ness can be!
Just touch me dear
So that I may experience,
That nice tickle or hug
That drowns me into a trance,
And general happiness,
That defies all measures.
Was there a feeling so nice,
Like your baby-like hand’s touch,
That speaks louder than words
Of Shakespeare or Wordsworth?
Will no one translate, for me,
In human parlance,
The meaning of that electric current,
Triggered off by your mere touch?
Hearken to the flow
Of a gentle feeling,
That slithers on and on,
Through my entire fabric,
And wherever it passes,
It leaves territories of joy,
And metric tons of ecstasy.
And the feeling of Salvation!
Was there a joy so good like salvation,
When I first believed
Like John Newton was when he sang
Amazing grace- how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me…
And Horatio Spafford sang
It is well with well with my soul?
Will no one interpret for me
The nexus between salvation and faith
And the chemistry of good feeling?
Hearken to that pressure of peace
Descending upon me
As I testify this goodness of the Lord!

Epigram: Salvation is like as if the savedee’s whole body fabric, suddenly turns into honey which turns onto itself for a taste! It’s so sweet! [Epigrams and Sayings By Robert K. Rutaagi, 1996].
