Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. God is calling us to go deeper with Him. To make the connection with the Almighty through praise with a thankful heart and through worship with words and songs. Being thankful is stepping in the right direction. We leave our natural and step into the spiritual. Isaiah calls gates praise {Isaiah 60:18b}. It's an escape step into Him!
Saying and singing about the many attributes of our Good Almighty God helps us to focus on Him. In church, at home or anywhere, quietly or aloud, find time daily to move away from our ‘me’ fleshly earth-centred life into the huge privilege of connection at a deeper more intimate level.
Courts are gated. The gates of God are symbolic of the way IN. Evil has its own gate. It is not allowed into God’s Kingdom. Jesus is the Way and through Him and The Word, we escape the attractions of the evil gates...nor will it overpower us {Matthew 16:18b]. I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. He is the gate for his sheep to escape the world.
Angels are God’s messengers frequently sent to help his children. They ministered to Jesus while he was on earth. God commands them concerning us and often removes the evil or removes us from it. Paul escaped prison with their help {Acts 5:19}. Many modern-day testimonies exist of angelic deliverances and escapes from car accidents and other dangers. Many have visitations warning them of evil approaching.
Power has been given to us through the indwelling Holy Spirit to become aware of things to avoid such as immorality and sinful cravings of the flesh {2 Peter 1:4}. Moses was given power by God to lead; so he led the children of Israel to escape from slavery to Egypt - walking through the Red Sea which water parted to let them through on dry ground..
Escaping death may be called The Great Escape. Jesus himself rose from the dead and brought Lazarus back from the dead. One day, we who are His, will finally escape the flesh and the power of death and live forever with the Lord in eternity. ..There will no longer be any curse, no tears, no sickness and no night. The Bride of Christ wearing clean garments will approach the Tree of Life, enter the Gates of God’s city, drink the Water of Life for eternity.
{Rev 22 :3, 14, 17}
