Out of the dark, a disturbing sound could be heard. A group of evil conspirators were muttering among themselves as they planned and planned. They devised a plot to betray and kill Jesus by using the already chosen vessel. He was a thief so it would be easy. He was the weakest link.

The disciples travelled with Jesus across the land and Judas carried the purse. In his mind, Judas knew that what he did regularly was wrong. He struggled with himself. Stealing from his friends and from Jesus was no fun anymore.

Meanwhile in the dark kingdom; “Bribe him” said the enemy to his flock and they all agreed. “Money is his weakness. We have to get rid of that Jesus. Healing the sick, raising the dead and casting us out! Betray him!”

One envoy was sent to talk to and befriend Judas.

At the right time; it happened. One day during a communal meal, it started. As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, “What you are about to do, do quickly.”[John 13:27]’

Unable to help himself, Judas went to the chief priests and offered to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver.
‘What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?
I know where to find Him” or words to that effect.

Jesus of course, knew what Judas would do.
After a meal with them, Jesus said to no one in particular
“I say to you, one of you will betray me” [Matthew 25:20].
His words met with dismay to all but one.

Sometime later, the hour had come in the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus said
“Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go. See, My betrayer is approaching!”

Jesus was still speaking, when Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, scribes, and elders.…

Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: “The One I kiss is the man; arrest Him and lead Him away securely.”…{Mark 14:42 -44}.

‘How utterly evil! ’ we all say.
Thankfully, the story does not end here.

But imagine the shock to his enemy when Jesus rose from the dead! He thought that if he killed Him, God’s plan to save the world would fail.
Praise to God, Jesus did not fail. Yes, He was betrayed. Yes, He died and the enemy’s plan failed because He rose from the dead and redeemed the world.

Judas killed himself in utter despair.

‘Could he have been forgiven? We would never know.
The end result is salvation. God’s plan to save His world was fully successful.

A nice retelling of the story. Thank God that he turns the devil's plans for good.

I personally would have liked to see some more exploration into the discussion happening between the demons, but on the whole a very good piece of writing.
