a thick wool coat or a fur jacket.
For babies, it is a blanket and
for a school-aged child it’s a school uniform
God created layers of skin,
That hides our vital inner organs.
He created a skull made of bone and skin.
It guards the vital delicate brain.
Insects and plants spray poison,
so enemies stay away.
Bees and ants have stingers,
while tigers and lions have sharp long teeth and claws.
God is our protection and our strength.
He always helps in times of trouble.
So we will not be afraid even if the earth shakes, or the mountains fall into the sea, even if the oceans roar and foam,
or the mountains shake at the raging sea {Psalm 46:1 ESV}.
‘The Lord All-Powerful is with us;
the God of Jacob is our defender’ {Psalm 46:1,7 NCV}
He protected Israel. He went ‘before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night’.{Exodus 21:31 NIV}
When He sent Jesus in flesh,
God did a thing never done before.
The Son of Man did His job perfectly
and then, He did so much more.
His sent the Holy Spirit, part of the Godhead;
To remain on earth with His followers.
He came, they changed from the outside in.
They spoke in tongues, healed the sick and demons fled.
He is here today.
His still small voice tells us which way to go.
I know that He lives in me,
as my teacher, helper and friend.
‘God’s Internal radar or discernment’,
are weapons that protect His children.
Tells us to be careful, be on the alert,
walk this way or avoid that pathway.
Can He protect us from sickness and viruses?
I say ‘The eternal God is your dwelling place,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, ‘Destroy.’
{Deut 33:27 NIV}.
