“What do you mean?”
“What I said.”
“That's impossible.”
“No, it's not.”
“Yes, it is. He is God and there is no other. How could we possibly win?”
“There's a way that has never been tried before. Just you watch and see.”
“But, he's sending his son. We're doomed!”
“Nah! Jesus isn't going to do anything. Remember when he drove us out of the pigs? Well, were we destroyed? No, but the pigs were. See how powerful we are? You can't kill the dead and he knows it.”
“I believe I remember a story about Job? You didn’t do so well then.”
“Oh, that’s another story, another time. I’m almost positive now, if I could be. Or maybe it’s just arrogance. Yes, that’s it.”
“Arrogance is a fine attribute.”
“I know. Just to remind you, if it wasn’t for Judas, our plans might have gone awry. Then again, there are plenty around who would ‘sell’ their souls for cash.”
“I so agree.”

There, we put him on the cross. The soldiers almost killed him during the beating. To see his flesh torn and the blood streaming from his wounds was poetry in motion. He even staggered under the load of the beams. There's no way he will survive the crucifixion and God will no longer have a son. Death comes to the living! Hah!
See, he died on the cross. Our plans brought to fruition. There's not a greater satisfaction for us. God has forsaken him! We win!
Wait! What's going on? His death was supposed to end humanity’s hope and we would reign. Where is he?
The tomb is what? What are they saying? He's gone, but where?
“SATAN! COME UP HERE BEFORE MY THRONE! I HAVE A FIERY LAKE TO SHOW YOU!”
“Oops!”
****
It was one splash, one perfect man’s blood that saved the whole of creation from the judgment of death and hell.
And then… And then… He rose from the grave! It is finished! Hallelujah!
