Though I'm part of His design,
I am feeling lost, without a sign.
No finger clearly points the way,
And I've been searching all the day
Mind says 'Go in this direction'
But it brings no satisfaction.
I hate this feeling of confusion.
How can I find resolution?
I feel abandoned, so alone.
No one calls on the phone.
There's no drop of inspiration
To create my next narration.
Why Lord if I'm to write
Am I now in this plight?
If this is a writer's block
It seems as big as Ayers Rock.
I've just recalled Jesus decreed
Faith small as mustard seed
Will remove the greatest mountain.
So why do I sit here doubting?
Though my faith is only small
I'll not lounge around and bawl.
I will rise with determination
Speaking loud acclamation.
That “My pen will surely write
During the day or at night
Guided by the Lord above
Like a hand that's in a glove.
I declare no more gloom
Moping in my little room.
Inspiration comes from You
Coupled with instruction true.
Whenever now my pen I raise
You will receive all the praise.
I'm not lost without a clue.
I must rely more on You.”
