A couple named Adam and Eve
Became parents of all
Now we’re all related but have a curse.
Christ had a human mother
But His Father was God.
He came, gave and shared all
So now I am a son.
We walk on two legs
and our arms reach to thighs
But his skin is pale pink
And mine is dark brown.
We are neighbours, you say
Though he’s from the Arctic
Still, God’s rule is love
So I choose to obey.
She looks a lot like me
And she has my smile
We share parents and last name.
My twin sister Louise.
Trevor has a brother
He is seven years younger.
They are now best friends
And both love Math.
He has her eyes
And same skin colour
He lives in Sudan
They have never met.
We are family.
Made of brothers and sisters,
Nieces, nephews and cousins.
Related by blood and shared genetics,
Yet breathing God’s Oxygen and eating His food.
So, Eve and Adam’s descendants
now children of God
Must live by these Laws;
To Love God and our neighbour
with perfect love.
