I’m glad they were found,
If not there’d be tombs
Instead of Parliamentary Houses.
Take the bread and drink the wine
As Jesus revealed them
so we keep taking that time
Reflecting His Passover with his disciples.
In the park running fast and playing games
Are the young glee-filled offspring
They are running pell-mell, untamed;
Reminds me of mothering in times past.
On the streets and on the tv screen
Old familiar fashions have returned
Images, photographs and models preen
Says ‘There’s nothing new under the Sun”.
Weekly family chats done on WhatsApp
Brings strength, joy and closeness
Time to talk about Daddy and ‘GrandPap’
Who are forever with the Lord.
For seasons of walking through shadow valley
As hearts struggle with strongholds like fear
Great Holy Spirit and The Word whisper gently
Remember The Lord is with you and never leaves.
In Eden and Gethsemane gardens
Wars were fought. One lost while the other won.
Last Adam, Redeemer came and earned pardon.
Now from sin man is no longer bound.
Eternity with God is our great hope,
While others will burn in forever punishment
So say strongly with me ‘Nope! Nope!’
And choose now..“Forever with the Lord”
