Literature tells us that this man and his gang of followers rejected fallibility and vulnerability. Slowly a hot idea grew among them. They decided to revolutionize the earth and change the world.
"Look at you," the son said to his father scornfully, "you have no power in yourself. You keep looking up. If there is anything or anyone up there, let us go find him."
His father's heart saddened for this son of his.
"Be humble, my son and learn from the past. There was a powerful angel once who lived with God. He rebelled and planned anarchy. His end was disastrous and his legacy evil and chaos as you see."
The son vainly ignored the advice. 'The plan is faultless' he mused to himself. It is written that together with his trusted followers they devised this never before thought of plan. "We will make a name for ourselves" they boasted.
"Pride goes before a fall" his father would say, but he ignored him. He was an artist so he drew a model of his hot idea and together with his friends they gathered the materials; baked bricks and asphalt for mortar.
This would be a type of globalism when all the earth would be ruled by a select few or a super race. Rules would be made and they would be followed or else!
"Easy peasy" was their slang motto!
"We all speak one language and we look alike. What can go wrong!"
Soon the tower was finished and reached into the skies and their city was being built, just as they planned.
But something totally unexpected happened. They woke up one day and could not understand what each other was saying. Their language was confused so they dispersed from each other and mankind was scattered over the face of the earth.
History tells us that over the past four thousand years, elitist theories have influenced many. Men and women who wanted to rule the earth used varying methods and theories to establish their order out of what they saw as the chaos of God's world. Devising 'hot ideas' which all ended badly. Such men are fools.
Romans 1:22 - While boasting of their wisdom they became utter fools
