The decision to disappear or appear
Shifting between the hues
A special gift that I have
Switching back and forth as I deem fit
Able to adapt to day and night
When winter comes and food is scarce
They say it is a call to persevere
When summer comes and food is plenty
They say it is a time to enjoy
But I can be however I want to be
Acclimatizing to day and night
Others favor one over the other
Others waver as situations demand
Ever ready to make the change that fits
They have no preference
And devoid of any stability
They switch with day and night
But with the dawning of a new day
Is an end to the darkness of the night
Then we are transformed by His light
Conformed to His perfect will
And not deformed by this world
Standing firm both day and night
