And the Banks lose a million or two,
"This world's not my home," I try to explain,
"Sorry, but I'm just passing through."
This temporary detour to planet Earth
Is to show us the Horrors of sin,
So when we do at last arrive home,
We'll Never let sin rise again.
I want to swim in that Sea of Glass,
And walk on those streets of gold,
Then lie in the soft, plush grass of home
And not ever worry 'bout growing old.
I want to sit at my Savior's feet.
And perhaps meet Joan of Arc
Chat with Daniel, Noah and Job,
Then listen to the song of a lark.
Wouldn't it be fun to travel
And visit a planet or star?
I can fly like Gabriel, using my wings,
And not go by jet or car?
In the city I'll have a big mansion,
But in the country - an acre of really rich sod
With fence posts made of emeralds and pearls.
(Look me up, I'll be on the southside")...
At home in the "Kingdom of God!"
