The other challenge to my faith, are the invisible, invincible little forces that are uncontrollable like wild horses. They are mostly bad and can lead into satan's inviting arms. Once they are in, like wild horses it becomes almost impossible to control them.
They become arrows in satan's quiver.
They are worries that cause doubts, fear, and loss of faith in God's love and promises. They can chase each other round and round the brain and produce depression, despair and hopelessness and could end in nervous breakdown and even suicide. So, what is the way I can guard myself against these attacks? What is my shield, my refuge? Who can come to my defense and save me? As usual I find my answers in God's Word, my Bible.
It was there that I found the story of a man, faced with the same kind of challenges. Instead of trying to deal with them himself, he turned to his almighty God. He declared his faith in writing the Psalms. He found his defense, his hope , his victory, his salvation in God, who never fails those who call on Him. If so, would not this God help me too?
Of course God would help me, if I would pluck out satan's arrows of doubt and fear and turn to Him for help. He would gather me in His arms and carry me on His shoulders. Evil cannot reach me there, despair cannot touch me there. Little foxes and wild horses cannot catch me there. My God is my redeemer, and my Savior. When He is my defense who can harm or overcome me?
