As Jarod tried hard to read scriptures, it pierced his hearing. Yet he was a believer, but there was an eerie feeling that he was missing something. He always tithe and also tried to pray for more understanding of the WORD of GOD. However, he could not read at all. He tried to overcome his disability by listening to what others said, but he was unable to gather the meaning of what is written.
So in bible study, he would fake his knowledge of what is written by listening to other doctrines that have nothing to do with the life he claimed. He would say to himself " I can't read this, and yet I am saved. He became unfruitful in his ministry to others and was afraid of what people would think of him.
One day his wife was filled with the Holy Spirit and she began to speak in a strange language. He became so angry with her, that he would leave her at home and go to his church family which did not practice the fullness of the gospel. He was safe there, because they were accepting only the baptism of repentance, but not the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
One day they had a new speaker come through the doors. He was an Evangelist and the LORD sent him to speak to the congregation about faith. As the Evangelist spoke on somethings, the Spirit moved him to ask Jarod to speak and read the scripture of the day. Jarod procrastinated to tell the truth because he would be exposed to all the people around him. The evangelist gave the book to him and sat down with the other congregation to hear the word. As Jarod gave reasons for not wanting to get up, the Evangelist prayed for him like this" Holy Father, I come to you in the Name of Jesus, who is the LORD of this harvest. May this man be redeemed in the Name of the Father , Son and Holy Spirit. I ask you to give him peace in his wanderings, and a mouth that speaks the Gospel that cleanses us Forgive his ignorance of who you are and fill Him with the gift that you gave all of us to have. Remove the plugs from his ears and the scales from his heart, that in his weakness, he will believe and receive our LORD GOD as his all and all.
Suddenly a strong wind came swirling around the church, everyone began to shout and rejoice in this prayer. Even the pastor of the church came down the steps and laid hands on Jarod. Jarod was confused and started to run out the door. Then it was if his leg was chained down and he could not move because this was overwhelming. Then he heard a voice, Read this and live. Then Jarod said: Who are you LORD? The voice answered I am Jesus who you don't know and I command you to bow before me. Your pride is your hinders your walk but I love you too much that I will make known my ways. So read the scroll, Jarod felt the scales removed from his eyes and began to see the words come alive.
The first words was this:
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. Then Jarod looked into the face of who he thought was the Evangelist and confessed his sin. I am a sinner, I cannot read this and I am not worthy to be in your presence. Then the sweet voice of the LORD said Be troubled no longer, you believe in God also believe in me. You are healed from this day forward. Go in peace, for My spirit will rest upon. Jarod got up to leave but was unable to resist the gift given that day. The Evangelist was still speaking too him, as if he had some unfinished business. He said welcome, brother Jarod to my world. I want to confess too you this message. Many of the Apostles could not read as well, but in their weakness they allowed the Spirit to guide them in this walk. Here is my number, if you ever need help in the WORD, call me and we will pray together. Here is my gift to you, Jarod received it, and opened the book where his name was engraved.
As Jarod rose from his seat, a familiar hand was on his shoulder. It was his wife, Layla who said " I knew the LORD heard me and now we are finally yoked. He fell into her arms, and said" forgive me for being angry with you, I love you more than I knew.
