During a no food or water fast.
He was working nights at the time and did his best
But could not get any adequate rest.
Deprived of sleep he climbed into bed
And was transported through a portal he said.
A storm was brewing with clouds overhead
The sky was amber with flashes of red.
A person appeared concealed in a cloak
And ascended a path that was filled with smoke.
Compelled to follow they made their ascent
Up the mountain the two of them went.
Reaching the summit the figure turned around
Obscured by its hood and facing the ground.
It lifted its head with eyes and hair of brown
Her countenance was a stricken with a crippling frown
As she stood there staring into his eyes
She reached out with one hand to his surprise.
And in an instant like a transfiguration
Her body began a process of disintegration.
Greatly troubled by the sight that he’d seen
He let out a sound, a very loud scream.
He awoke from what appeared as only a dream
And found himself in his bedroom scene.
The moment of peace and relief passed fast
When all of the sudden he heard a great gasp.
He looked to the left and as he turned his head
The lady from his dream was standing next to his bed.
In an instant he was paralyzed with fear
Then all of the sudden, she disappeared.
Who she was and why she came near
Is a mystery that remains unclear.
