I came with so much to say.
Where are You, God I heard myself ask and what am I going to do? Along with a barrage of other inquiries that are very important to me.
But each time I tried to speak You interrupted
And listening was all I could do.
Wasn’t what I had to say important enough?
Or is it that You already knew?
“Sometimes, My child, your plans are not the same as Mine.
All that I ask during these times is for you to be quiet and still.
Think of the birds – they neither toil nor spin.
Even the lilies - in all their array.
How much greater are you than they?
Remember I love you - I made you for Me.
And come back soon – we’ll talk again.”
